I had been suffering from bloggers-block (due, I believe, to my extended break from blogging) yet I knew immediately when I saw these that I'd be asking y'all what you think.
Now don't get me wrong, if it moves, I'll slap a preppy monogram on it {my brother-in-law likes to tease me and sister chick that we'd monogram our *hineys* if we could} but I think a monogram on the toenails could be a bit much. I am willing to be swayed, my position on the matter is not rock solid....what do y'all think? Would you sport these bad boys on your pretty polished toes? Just right? Too much? i mean, i love monograms not just because theyre preppy and delightful but also because they say who my stuff belongs to, who my plate belongs to, my purse, my vest, etc etc... but i already know who my toes belong to, because theyre attached, to me!!! i think its a little over the top...

At first I thought they were over the top. But I started thinking about it.. and for just the right occasion, they might be kinda cute. I don't think I could do them for every day, but maybe a summer BBQ or even a wedding day.

I personally love it! Why not, if I can wear monograms dangling from my ears, around my fingers, on my car, on my purse and headband why not jazz up my pedicure? I'm all for it!!
ReplyDeleteHey sister-n-law chick...I was re-reading the blog and I think you ought to put the following caption under the picture "You can take a girl out of the trailer park, however you can't take the trailer park out of the girl" because that seems fitting. If my wife/your sis comes home tonight from her mani and pedi with that, I will more than likely lock her out of the house.
ReplyDeleteThe next thing that someone will want is a tatoo of their initials instead of a wedding ring. I bet if you offered the monogramed toe idea for pets they would sell in a hurry! We could even get some for "Sir Elton of Brandon Rd"-it would be quite fitting...
Are they decals or handpainted? If they are handpainted . . . then maybe, but you'd have to have perfect toenails. And even then only for casual summer events like a cookout or beach vacation.

ReplyDeleteIt's too much. I always remember in my mom's old copy of the Preppy Handbook it had a long list of everything you shouldn't monogram - this should be added!

ReplyDeleteOh wow...this blog is right up my alley! Although I live in Texas (not the true South) I still monogram absolutely everything. Except my toenails!
ReplyDeleteMy big toes aren't that pretty, so I surely don't want to draw attention to them with monograms. I love a good pedicure, but I will pass on the monograms.

My little girls would love it!However,they like each nail painted a different color, too. I'm sure my middle school/high school nieces would buy them.They are cute for the right person.
