I'm laying low in blog land

Because it is all I can do to stay sane.....I had no idea building Dr. Chick's orthodontic office would be such an undertaking. Life is a flurry of activity as we make decision after decision in anticipation of being open for business in October! Dr. Chick is updating his blog {almost} daily with the 'reno' progress, check it out.

I am quite happy with the way our sign turned out. Our great friend, Wes, cut the sign into that spiffy shape and Dr. Chick sanded and slathered it with many coats of white paint (in our living room; which another story for another day!) and then we applied the vinyl lettering to both sides.

Monogram Chick
continues to chirp along behind the scenes & into the wee hours of the night. I simply have little energy for anything else these days! Thanks for hanging in there with me as posts are sporatic, I'll be more frequent--pinkie swear--when the "Operation Ortho Office" is complete! In the meantime, visit Sister Chick's blog--I am totally blown away by what an awesome blogger she is! And keep up with our office progress via Dr. Chick's blog.

PS: The fan-tab-u-lous, Nina, hooked us up with an awesome logo {as seen on our t-shirts}...more to come on that topic later, but wanted to thank Nina again for a job so well done!

Nina, Your Go-To Girl

Brooke and William are getting married and my sister is one of the {many} hostesses for a shower honoring one of her greatest friends. When it came to the couples shower the group wanted to do something fun that could incorporate the guys too. A "Cocktails and Cupcakes" shower was conceived. As Sister Chick and I were discussing the deets we knew Nina would be the perfect chick to design the perfect invite: something modern, girlie with a masculine twist, & of course cupcakes and cocktails had to be included. It took one try and Nina had it! I think these are so great and the price can't be beat. There was Nina's design fee {super reasonable} and the Vista Print printing. Nina hooked us (as well as all of those near and dear to her) up with a fab deal at Vista Print which included the envelopes. Take a look, aren't they adorable?

Objective met, thanks to Nina!

I've Been Gone Far Too Long

Ok Y'all. I have to admit I have taken a hiatus from the blogdom. It is sad, I have missed out on so much in all of your bloggy lives. Not the least of which is my bbf's much anticipated blog redesign: according to nina. I know many of you have been, you've see how fantastic it/she is and you're regulars. But, if you've not been, you've not seen how fantastic it/she is and you're not a regular....GO.

When you get there and fall in love with this chick tell sweet Nina I said hello. I'll see you over there--for sure!

Go. Now.

Happy Birthday Nina!

One of my greatest blog friends {Nina} celebrated her 28th Birthday this weekend! Happy Birthday Miss Nina, I hope it was a special day--you deserve it!

You MUST check out this chick's blog. She is amazing...I wish I had half the energy she does! Once you "meet" Nina, you will know why she is such an amazing and sweet friend. Spend some time with her on her newly designed blog (it looks fab!) and you'll be going back for more--I promise!
Happy Birthday, Girl!
