These would be in my closet.  How awesome are they?!  Classic with a funky twist {and a 4 inch heel!}.

However, since I'm more of a flat/kitten heel kinda girl, I think my closet would sing to me if I added any of these:

So its been awhile since I've done an "ask the chick" post.  This is your chance to ask me anything.  Leave your question in the comments section and I'll tackle them next week.  Last time I did this (in 2008!) the snow is melting but it is still chilly

Today's high here in the southeast is 52...that is a far cry better than last weeks highs in the 20s!  We shoveled the sidewalk at Dr. Chick's office last week with our garden tools.  When we finished chipping away the ice and had put salt down I reflected on the joy I felt when we packed that moving truck in Iowa just knowing that I would never have to shovel my walk again....ha.

With all this snow, we've heard all kinds of old wives tales about more snow coming; did you know that if the snow sticks on the ground for more than 3 days you're in for more?! 

52 degrees may be mild to some of you mid-western and northern chickadees but my super southern blood still thinks its cold and a coat and scarf are a do-no-leave-home-without.  Currently, I'm sporting my monogrammed scarf.  Khaki with a brown monogram, worn with my brown down jacket (laugh if you must, I'm ok with that).

Client Pics & A New Hospital Gown

We are digging out from under the snow and ice, finally.  Yesterday we could actually start to see the grass under the icy mess and enjoyed some warmer temps (in the 50s).  We had a busy weekend full of shopping...finding all sorts of great things that will soon be added to Monogram Chick!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when y'all send photos of your Monogram Chick goodies?!  This sweet mama with her newborn bebe and her big brother are so precious.  Can you believe that she just gave birth, she looks awesome and totally photo ready. 

Speaking of new products, I am thrilled to introduce the chocolate/fuchsia polka dot personalized hospital gown!  I mean seriously, who would not want to be gracing her mommy and newborn pics without this?

awaiting 'the storm' and a winner

Dr. Chick has been tending the fire {that is our actual fire} since about 3:00 this afternoon as we await the big storm.  Schools in our area were called off yesterday morning in anticipation of the winter event.  I did my usual Sunday afternoon grocery shopping however, the rest of my town also decided they need to grocery shop.  It was Crazy, with a capital C.  The buggy corral was empty when I entered.  I had to round up my buggy from a sweet lady returning hers from the parking lot.  I pink puffy heart the south.  Seriously y'all...love it.  However, living in the frozen tundra Iowa gives one a little perspective on winter weather and while we've done our due preparations I can't help but wonder if this storm is going to be all they predict.

This is WAY over due.  I promised it Friday and didn't deliver.  My sincerest apologies however, I'll make it up to you.  Pinkie swear.  I was overwhelmed by the response to the new Monogrammed Straw Tumblers and am so glad that y'all like them!  Without further yammering (as Kiki would say) the winner is
