We've Added More Backpacks!

Here at MC we are an equal opportunity shop...or we try to offer something for everyone. Since the ohMint bags are just so darn cute for the elementary age we thought we needed something equally as prep-tastic for the older kids. Whether heading to middle school, high school or college our solid color bookbags will be perfect for toting those heavy books. And since they are functional they might as well be adorable too!
Add a great monogram or a funky name to a solid backpack for your tween or teen today!

Backpacks, Snack Squares, Underdogs and a Fisheye Lens

The title pretty much sums up what was an all-around amazing product shoot on Monday morning. We're all keenly aware that our lazy days of summer are winding down and will soon be replaced by the first day of school, parent orientation and lunch dates at the mini sized cafeteria tables. With this in mind, Rachel Eng, (my amazingly talented, photog friend) 4 little friends and I set off to a local elementary school with backpacks and lunchboxes in tow.

The goal: great photographs of our adorable models hamming it up with their new monogramchick backpacks & lunchboxes.
The result: stunning photos of our playful bunch with their preppy backpacks & lunchboxes.

Needless to say, the kids were not thrilled about having to stand still beside the playground but did an awesome job. After a few still shots, Rachel decided to let the kids go nuts and the pictures speak for themeselves. Doesn't it look like they were having a great time? By the end of the morning, I had done so many "underdogs" at the swing set I was exhasted and hot--despite the fact that the kids' energy was no where near depleted.

I cannot thank Rachel enough for doing such a great job wrangling working with the kids and for producing fantastic pictures for the website. If you are in the Iowa City area, or will be within the next year, you must book her! She does wedding photography, commercial photography, family photo sessions, newborn sessions, birth sessions, senior pictures, and of course photos sessions with kids. You will not be dissapointed. Rachel is so easy to work with and is a true master of her craft. Check out her website http://www.racheleng.com/ and her blog http://www.racheleng.wordpress.com/.

So, as you hit the stores in search of new school duds, let's not forget preppy backpacks and monogrammed lunchboxes so that all the other mothers will know you're exceedingly hip to make carrying those school supplies super easy.

These towels are h-u-g-e and great quality! Made from 100% cotton and measuring 35 inches x 60 inches this towel is one that will go from toddler to teenager with ease. Choose any of Monogram Chick's appliques and add a name to this superior white beach towel. These are perfect for birthday gifts, vacation surprises, or to take to the pool in the afternoons. Grab one for that little someone you love today!

Boo-Boo Winner

Thanks so much to those of you that entered to win my "mistake" and kudos to you for fessing up to some of your most memorable mishaps. Serious props go to ClemsonGirl, not only did she espouse the joys of c-sections and found multiple uses for caribeaners but she also taught everyone that Spic and Span DOES NOT work in the automatic dishwasher. Clemsongirl, I'll get your addy and this cute little pocket-less tote will go in the mail on Monday.

Thanks again everyone!

Boo-Boo

Ok, so we all make mistakes...and this time you get to benefit from my boo-boo!

So, if you don't mind a bag that looks great on the outside but doesn't have a pocket on the inside this bag is all yours. Simply leave a comment telling me about one of your "uh-ohs". The one who can razzle-dazzle me with your best blonde moment mistake will earn this fabulous monogrammed zippered tote for F-R-E-E! What could be better than a freebie on the fourth?!

Winner will be chosen Saturday night.

We've Added Stationery!

Monogram Chick started with stationery so I guess you could say we are going back to our roots however, to be fair, we never really left them. Although the website has not had stationery the bookshelves in the studio are bursting at the seams with fabulous paper goods! So, don't be surprised if each day you see more paper being added. To start, we've added paper products by Embossed Graphics. Those of you that are familiar with this exceptional line know that their paper is super high quality and affordably priced. Below are just a few of the great items that we've already added to Monogram Chick. Check often for other great designers!

Every prep should correspond with her closest friends with nothing less than this super thick card stock which boasts a classic monogram. Chose from white, ivory, pink or blue card stock and many different ink colors. ($39.95 for 50 cards and matching envelopes)

This Agenda Set is a great gift for the preppy man in your life or for yourself and for only $24.00 you get the acrylic holder and 300 sheets! White paper can be personalized in an array of different ink colors--fuschia for you, navy for him!

Give those adorable monogrammed gifts in style with a monogrammed enclosure card. What is even better about these foldover enclosures is that you get to chose between white, ivory, pink or blue paper! Why not make it fun with fuschia or aqua ink or keep it classic with navy or black ink. ($25 for 50 cards and envelopes)
