3 Cheers for Spring

Hey Y'all! Seems like forever since I've blogged--it has been, I know!
Spring-time is here and that means Easter, weddings, graduation, baby showers and mother's day--all events where gift giving is the norm. The great thing is that y'all are giving Monogram Chick gifts! Everything from bibs/burps and lovies to robes and cosmetic bags...we've been c-r-a-z-y around here. When things are crazy blogging is the first thing to be put on the back burner. Sorry, but it's true.
But I have good news, there is a blogger who has not been slacking, my good friend, (who I can't wait to meet IRL---asap!) Mrs. Newlywed {Misadventures of a Newlywed}. Each day she brings us fantastic material full of wit, insight and real life. Tomorrow {Wednesday}, she'll be sharing the Monogram Chick love with a giveaway. Black Cosmetic Bag Giveaway

Some of y'all remember a poll I took a little while back, asking about new cosmetic bag colors. The votes are in and BLACK was the winner!

Here's the deal. I need to add both the small and large black cosmetic bags to my site. I have a gazillion cosmetic bags for myself as do all of those near and dear to me. However, I need a preptastic sample for the Monogram Chick website.

This is where you come in: leave a comment with your favorite font {check out the font page here} and what color or color combo you'd put on the black cosmetic bag set and I'll choose a winner. Custom Bugs, Bridesmaid Bags, and Butterflies!

Hello all my preppy MonogramChick readers!! Today's creations are kind of a random collection! Variety is the spice of life right??

First up, is a custom creation for a client that emailed me wanting something a little different. She wanted an appliqued bib and burp set with a Pink Ladybug! How fun, she had a little girl that loved ladybugs and pink so this is what we came up with! If anyone is interested in the doing this or something similar just email me and let me know, pink bugs are now my thing!!

Next up is a set of 6 small terry cloth cosmetic bags. These were created/ordered by a bride for her bridesmaids. These are great bridesmaid gifts and they function well too! Doesn't every preppy chick need more room for her stuff!? The thread we use at MonogramChick is colorfast, meaning these bags can be bleached and the monogramming doesn't fade! These inside of the bags are plastic lined for easy clean up. My personal set has been around for nearly 2 years and about 4 bleachings and still look great!

Lastly, I embroidered this cute butterfly lovie for a Grandma that wanted "Grandpa's Girl" to have something special to take with her after leaving their home!

Graduation

Graduation is just around the corner. Whether you'll be shopping for high school or college grads Monogram Chick has great preppy gifts sure to please all.

For the girl going off to school a cosmetic bag set stitched in school colors is perfect, you could even add a matching shower wrap to cover up in those "hall bathrooms" we all loved from freshman year! One of my favorite gifts (and one that I still have) was a monogrammed beach towel. Not nearly as fun and funky as these but it served me well on many spring break trips to the beach!
